Its all about the songs. The Water grew to support the pen of singer songwriter Sean McMahon in 2010 not long after venturing into music for the first time at the tender age of 38. Stuart Sollors was first to the band bringing 30 years of experience of lead guitar. Influenced by guitarists like Page and Hendrix, Stuart brings an edge to bear on the rock songs and melody to the ballads. Massimo Avellano, a fan of Jaco Pastorius and Sting has been playing bass professionally for 30 years too. He keeps the bass true and rhythm tight with drummer & percussionist Spencer Blackledge a 25 year gigging and recording pro.

The versatility of his music touches various genres and subject matters - from love to politics and many in between. Despite this range, it is the poetry and resonant guitar lines that underpin his music and when ignited by his soulful voice, his music captivates an audience even if they have never heard the song before.

Born and raised in Italy, Massimo Avellano has been playing bass guitar for over 30 years, having performed with various bands all over Europe. His intuitive style coupled with a perfect blend of melody and rhythm, makes his bass lines the glue that bonds the various elements of the songs that he plays on.

Inspired by Led Zeppelin, Stuart Sollars has been playing guitar for over 30 years. Having been in various bands, including his own, Stuart delivers a seasoned performance whenever he plays. His rock edge coupled with his sensitivity to create melodic riffs, inject a unique energy into songs.

Drummer and percussionist Spencer Blackledge brings 25 years of gigging and recording experience to The Water. Unlike most, Spencer has the ability to bring out melody from percussive instruments which adds different shades of colour to songs.
